11-year-old girl dies when car slams into group of Phoenix pedestrians

PHOENIX, AZ – An 11-year-old girl died and four others are injured after a crash sent a vehicle into a group of pedestrians on Friday.

According to FOX10, the accident happened at the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Whitton on Sept. 3. The driver of a silver sedan was driving recklessly and hit a gold sedan, sending the gold car onto the sidewalk.

Two boys ages 9 and 14 and two women, 18 and 32, are in serious condition.

The driver of the silver car showed signs of impairment and faces charges including manslaughter.
