CHANDLER, AZ – According to ABC15 News, a crash in Chandler left one woman dead on Friday.
Authorities say the crash took place around 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Arizona Avenue and Elliot Road. A sedan was attempting to turn left into the northbound lanes of Arizona Avenue when it was struck by a truck travelling southbound.
The unidentified driver of the sedan sustained serous injuries in the impact and was transported to a local hospital where she later died. The truck driver was also hospitalized for injuries sustained in the crash.
Police are investigating whether or not speed and impairment of the truck driver had an impact in this incident. No other details are available at this time.
