Car crash kills 2 college students on Interstate 40

FLAGSTAFF, AZ – KTAR News reports that a car crash in eastern Arizona left two college students dead on Saturday night.

Officials with the Arizona Department of Public Safety say the crash took place on Interstate 40, close to the New Mexico border. 21-year-old Chelsea Nicole Valladares and 22-year-old Kelli Ingle were driving on I-40 when their vehicle was hit by a tractor-trailer, sending their vehicle into a guard rail. Both women were killed in the impact.

Police continue to investigate this crash.
