GILBERT, AZ – At least one person was seriously injured during a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 60 in Gilbert on Thursday night, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The accident happened on westbound US-60 near Greenfield Road and Higley Road at about 7:45 p.m., when three vehicles collided.
Serious injuries were reported in the crash, though there is no information regarding the identity and current condition of the victim or victims.
The roadway was closed for several hours following the accident, with westbound lanes of the highway shut down for the investigation.
