3 dead, 1 injured in multi-vehicle wrong-way crash in Glendale

GLENDALE, AZ – Three people were killed in a wrong-way crash on Loop 101 in Glendale early Sunday morning, according to CBS 5 News.

The collision happened on northbound Loop 101 and Camelback Road at about 2:30 a.m., as 23-year-old Caleb Bencomo was driving his Nissan Altima southbound, against oncoming traffic.

Bencomo’s vehicle collided with a Dodge sedan, which then crashed into a Nissan Xterra SUV, then overturned.

Bencomo was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The driver of the Dodge, 29-year-old Glendale resident Angel Carrillo-Lopez, and a passenger, 27-year-old Los Angeles man Reginald Porter, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Xterra sustained minor wounds in the crash.
