GLENDALE, AZ – A pedestrian was hospitalized after being hit by a driver at a major intersection in Glendale early this morning, according to information from FOX 10 Phoenix.
The crash occurred at Camelback Road and 51st Avenue at around 6 a.m., after a westbound driver collided with a pedestrian.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, was taken to the hospital for the treatment of severe, critical injuries.
The driver remained at the scene. At this time, authorities do not suspect that they were under the influence.
The crash caused traffic delays during the morning commute, with drivers being asked to use 43rd Avenue, Bethany Home Road, or Indian School Road as detours.
