Pedestrian killed by two hit-and-run drivers on El Mirage Rd and Northern Pkwy

GLENDALE, AZ – A pedestrian died after being struck by two hit-and-run drivers on El Mirage Road in Glendale on New Year’s Day, according to information from FOX 10 Phoenix.

The collision happened near El Mirage Rd and the Northern Parkway at about 8:10 p.m., after a pedestrian victim was struck by a gray 2001-2006 Nissan Altima and a red 2011-2013 Kia Optima sedan. The two drivers then fled the scene.

The pedestrian was later pronounced dead.

Authorities are searching for the hit-and-run drivers and their vehicles at this time. They believe that the Nissan may have sustained damage to its front and left portions, including the front fender and front-left wheel assembly area. The Kia also may have damage to its front and left, with damage to the hood, left side mirror and headlight, and front-left fender.
