Two people injured in multi-vehicle wrong-way crash in Glendale

GLENDALE, AZ – A woman suffered life-threatening wounds after a multi-vehicle wrong-way collision in Glendale on Friday afternoon, according to CBS 5 News.

The accident happened near the intersection of 51st Avenue and Olive Avenue at about 4:30 p.m., when the driver of a sedan crossed over the center line and into the lanes of oncoming traffic. She then collided with a pickup truck.

A second pickup truck later crashed into the wreckage.

The driver of the sedan was taken to the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries.

Another person sustained non-critical wounds in the crash.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident at this time.
