PEORIA, AZ – An 80-year-old man was killed when he was struck by a car as he tried to cross the westbound lanes of Peoria Avenue along North 99th Avenue around 3 p.m. Monday. Colin Thorpe of Peoria did not use a crosswalk when he crossed the street and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene. There will be no charges.
