Pedestrian fatally struck by street sweeper on Hwy 60 in Mesa

MESA, AZ – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a street sweeper on Highway 60 early this morning, according to KTAR News.

The crash happened on westbound US-60, near Dobson Road, at about 5 a.m., when a pedestrian reportedly ran across the highway.

The victim was struck by a street sweeper and died of injuries sustained during the crash.

The street sweeper was not reported as hurt.

No details are available regarding the victim’s identity.

One lane was closed as investigators worked the crash, causing about a 40-minute delay.

The lane was open by 8 a.m.
