One dead, two injured from two-vehicle crash in Peoria

PEORIA, AZ – A Saturday night two-vehicle crash in Peoria claimed a woman’s life, FOX 10 Phoenix reported. 

The collision happened before 10 pm at Cactus Road and 79th Avenue. A red SUV failed to stop at a red light and collided with a black SUV. 

The driver and passenger from the black SUV suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were not transported to a hospital by medics. They remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. 

The driver of the red SUV was hospitalized. She was identified as Cynthia Tapper, 45. 

Tapper succumbed to her injuries and died at the hospital. Police claim Tapper did not wear her seatbelt and was ejected from her vehicle.
