PHOENIX, AZ – A fiery collision caused by a driver running a red light in west Phoenix led to the death of one person and the injury of seven others early this morning, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.
The crash happened at 71st Avenue and Indian School Road before 5:30 a.m., after the driver of a Chevrolet Trax ran a traffic light. The Trax then crashed into a Chevrolet Silverado hauling a trailer.
The driver of the Trax, who was not immediately identified, died at the scene.
One of the occupants of the Silverado, a 26-year-old man, was left with serious, life-threatening injuries.
Six other people in the Silverado sustained non-critical wounds.
Phoenix Police continue to investigate the crash.
