1 dead following multi-vehicle hit-and-run crash in W Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – One person is dead following a multi-vehicle collision in west Phoenix involving a hit-and-run driver on Friday morning, according to CBS 5 News.

The collision happened on Thomas Road and 71st Avenue at about 10 a.m., when a brown or tan Chevrolet Tahoe SUV collided with a sedan and a pickup truck. The driver of the Tahoe then fled the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck, who was not immediately identified, was taken to the hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.

The condition of the third driver was not immediately released.

Authorities continue to search for the suspect and their vehicle. Those with any information on the crash are asked to contact the Phoenix Police Department or call the anonymous tip line at 480-948-6377 or 480-837-8446, for Spanish speakers.
