1 dead, pregnant woman, baby, and 1 other person hurt in crash on SR-51

PHOENIX, AZ – One person was killed and another three, including a pregnant woman and a baby, were hospitalized following a crash on State Route 51 on Christmas Eve, according to CBS 5 News.

The crash happened on northbound SR-51 near Union Hills Drive in the Desert Ridge area, after multiple vehicles collided. At least one person was trapped in the wreckage of the crash.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities took a baby, a man in his 30s, and a pregnant woman in her 20s to the hospital for the treatment of critical injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
