1 person dead, 2 injured after truck crash on I-17 frontage road

PHOENIX, AZ – A man was killed and two other people were injured in a truck crash on the I-17 frontage road in Phoenix last night, according to information from CBS 5 News.

The crash happened at around 6:30 p.m. on the northbound I-17 frontage road near Grant Street, after the driver of an eastbound Chevrolet SUV allegedly ran a red light. She then crashed into a northbound semi-truck.

A passenger riding in the Chevrolet was pronounced dead at the scene.

The SUV’s driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.

The truck driver sustained minor wounds in the collision.

A passenger in the semi-truck was not reported as hurt.
