PHOENIX, AZ – A 10-year-old child was killed when his UTV crashed and overturned into the Gila River bottom on Saturday night, according to CBS 5 News.
The crash happened near Roeser Road and 71st Avenue as a man was driving a Razr UTV with a 10-year-old boy.
The UTV crashed into the standing water and overturned, causing the boy to be trapped beneath.
The child was taken to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The accident remains under investigation.
