17-year-old driver fatally ejected in late-night crash in N Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – A 17-year-old girl was killed during a rollover accident in north Phoenix late Sunday night, according to KGUN 9 News.

The accident happened at the intersection of E Cactus Road and N 24th Street at about 11:15 p.m., when a 17-year-old driver reportedly ran a red light while making a left turn.

Her vehicle collided with the median, then rolled over, causing the driver to be ejected from the vehicle.

The victim, who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, died at the scene.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
