2 officers and 2 others severely injured in crash in N Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – Two Phoenix Police officers and two other people were severely injured in a collision in North Phoenix on Tuesday evening, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.

The crash occurred near the intersection of Bethany Home Road and 27th Avenue when a truck collided with a Phoenix PD cruiser. A third vehicle may also have been involved.

At least one person was trapped within the wreckage and had to be rescued by emergency crews.

The two officers inside the cruiser were taken to the hospital with severe injuries. Also suffering serious injuries were a 20-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man.

The accident remains under investigation.
