21-year-old dead after rear-ending minivan at W Phoenix intersection

PHOENIX, AZ – A 21-year-old woman is dead following a speed-related collision at an intersection in west Phoenix early Friday, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.

The crash happened near the intersection of Thomas Road and 71st Avenue at about 2:45 a.m., after 21-year-old Itzel Delgadillow-Huerta crashed her Nissan sedan into the back of a Chrysler minivan.

Delgadillow-Huerta died at the scene.

The other driver was sent to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

Authorities believe that speeding may have contributed to the accident.

The accident remains under investigation.
