22-year-old pedestrian fatally struck by car in E Phoenix intersection

PHOENIX, AZ – A 22-year-old pedestrian was killed after being struck by a driver in an accident in east Phoenix last week, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.

The collision occurred near the intersection of E McDowell Road and N 36th Street, early Thursday morning, as 22-year-old Jackson Tsinnijinnie was crossing the street.

He was struck by a driver, leading to his death at the scene.

The driver was not reported as injured.

Police do not believe that Tsinnijinnie was walking in a crosswalk when the crash occurred.

The driver is not believed to have been speeding or under the influence, and has reportedly cooperated with the investigation.

Authorities continue to investigate the collision at this time.
