29-year-old pedestrian fatally hit by two vehicles in NW Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – A 29-year-old woman is dead after being hit by multiple vehicles in northwest Phoenix late Sunday night, according to CBS 5 News.

The crash happened near the intersection of Grand Avenue and 39th Avenue at about 10:30 p.m., as 29-year-old Adriana Cuevas was crossing the street. She was struck by two separate vehicles.

The first driver fled the scene, while the second driver stopped to render aid.

Cuevas died at the scene.

Authorities do not believe that the second driver was under the influence. They continue to search for the hit-and-run driver and to investigate the crash. Those with any information on the accident are asked to call the Phoenix Police Department at 602-262-6151.
