3 women waiting at Phoenix bus stop injured after being hit by SUV

PHOENIX, AZ – Three women waiting at a bus stop were taken to the hospital after being struck by a driver in Phoenix on Friday, according to CBS 5.

The accident occurred near the intersection of W Glendale Avenue and N 35th Avenue in the evening, when the driver of a red SUV went off the side of the road and collided with the bus stop.

One of the women was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.

The remaining two victims were sent for the treatment of non-critical wounds.

Their identities and the cause of the accident were not immediately available.

Authorities are investigating the accident.
