SURPRISE, AZ – FOX10 Phoenix reports that a crash involving 4 vehicles on U.S. 60 in Surprise left one person dead on Monday morning.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say the crash took place just after 11:00 a.m. in the southbound lanes of U.S. 60, when a Penske box truck crashed into an unidentified Toyota car. The Penske truck then collided with a Nissan Altima sedan. A tractor-trailer then struck the Penske truck from behind.
The driver of the Penske truck sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment The driver of the Nissan was killed in the crash, and two people in the Toyota were injured.
Police continue to investigate this crash.
