44-year-old man fatally struck by car at Phoenix intersection

PHOENIX, AZ – A 44-year-old pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle at an intersection in Phoenix last week, according to KPHO.

The accident happened at Bell Road and 19th Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday, when a male pedestrian was reportedly crossing against a signal.

He was then struck by the driver of an SUV. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds.

The identities of the driver and victim have not yet been released.

Authorities do not believe that the driver was under the influence, and an investigation into the collision continues at this time.
