48-year-old woman killed 2 others injured in west Phoenix crash

PHOENIX, AZ – A woman died and two others were hospitalized following a collision in west Phoenix early Wednesday.

According to Fox 10 Phoenix, the crash took place at the intersection of 50th Drive and Thomas Road at about 6:30 a.m.

Investigators say the driver of an SUV, 48-year-old Angela Casas, was driving west on Thomas Rd. when her vehicle drifted into the oncoming lanes and collided head-on with another.

Casas was rushed to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later. Her passenger and the driver of the other vehicle were also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
