PHOENIX, AZ – A man was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver in Midtown Phoenix late Sunday night, according to ABC 15 News.
The accident occurred near the intersection of Camelback Road and 7th Street at about 11:20 p.m., as a 55-year-old man was crossing the street.
He was struck by the driver of a silver vehicle who, instead of stopping to render aid, continued down Camelback Rd.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds.
Authorities are continuing to search for the driver and to investigate the accident.
