Animal rescue volunteer killed in crash on Loop 101 in Deer Valley area

PHOENIX, AZ – A woman known by her friends as a loyal friend to animals was killed in an accident in the Deer Valley area this weekend, according to CBS 5 News.

The crash happened on Saturday on Loop 101, near 27th Avenue, and involved two vehicles.

Adrienne Ayala, a volunteer team leader with the Humane Animal Rescue and Trapping Team (HARTT), was killed in the crash.

Few other details have been released about the accident.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help Ayala’s family with funeral bills and medical expenses for her husband, who is said to have been sent to the hospital with kidney failure after learning about the death of his wife.
