Narrative

QUARTZSITE, AZ – A driver of a semi-truck struck the back of a fuel tanker on I-10 East, leading both the vehicles to catch fire injuring both motorists Tuesday. 

This collision happened near milepost 15. Authorities said they shut down the eastbound lanes before 5:30 a.m. and reopened after 8 a.m. 

At the time of the crash, drivers could use eastbound Dome Rock Road as an alternative route and Quartzsite Avenue.
