SAN TAN VALLEY, AZ – A head-on crash in San Tan Valley on Friday left two people dead and a third hospitalized.
According to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred when a vehicle traveling south on Gantzel Road drifted into the oncoming lanes at Painted Desert Drive and slammed into an oncoming vehicle.
The two occupants of the southbound vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to an area hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
