Narrative

PHOENIX, AZ – According to NBC12 News, three people were killed in a head-on crash that took place in Phoenix on Thursday night.

The collision took place shortly before 11:30 p.m. just north of Loop 101 on 19th Avenue. Authorities say that two cars crashed head-on and then struck another third car nearby.

An 18-year-old driver and a 38-year-old passenger in the same vehicle were traveling south in the northbound lanes on 19th Ave when their car crashed into a vehicle head-on. Both the driver and passenger were killed in the impact and pronounced dead at the scene. Another driver involved in the crash was killed after their car caught on fire. The driver and a passenger of the third vehicle were uninjured.
