Bicyclist severely injured in hit-and-run collision in Maryvale Village

PHOENIX, AZ – A bicyclist was severely injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in the Maryvale Village area last night, according to CBS 5 News.

The collision occurred near the intersection of Osborn Road and 83rd Avenue at around 7:30 p.m., when a woman riding her bike was hit by a driver who then fled the scene without stopping to render aid.

The victim, who was not immediately identified, was taken to the hospital for the treatment of extremely critical injuries.

Authorities continue to search for the driver and their vehicle.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
