Driver dead after crashing into truck at 24th Ave and Grand Ave

PHOENIX, AZ – A driver died after he collided with a truck on Grand Avenue in Phoenix this weekend, according to information from FOX 10 Phoenix.

The crash happened near the intersection of Grand Ave and N 24th Avenue at about 9 p.m. Saturday, when a truck driver made a left turn. The driver of a silver SUV then collided with the semi-truck.

The driver of the SUV, identified as 55-year-old LeAndre Johnson, was pronounced dead following the collision.

The other driver remained at the scene and was not immediately reported as injured.

Authorities stated that Johnson may have been going at a high rate of speed when the accident happened. Their investigation continues at this time.
