Infant and 3 adults critically injured in crash involving Valley Metro bus

PHOENIX, AZ – Three adults and a 3-week-old infant were severely injured following a collision involving a Valley Metro bus earlier this week in Phoenix, according to CBS 5 News.

The crash happened near the intersection of McDowell Road and 40th Street at about 8 p.m. Monday, when two vehicles and the bus collided, causing one of the cars to overturn.

A 3-week-old baby girl, a 26-year-old woman, a 22-year-old man, and a 19-year-old woman were all taken to the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries. Their identities were not immediately released.

It is unclear at this point what led to the accident.

Authorities closed the roadway near the crash site as they worked their investigation.
