PHOENIX, AZ – A man was fatally struck by a vehicle while walking across the street in the Grandview area on Friday morning, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.
The crash happened on Bethany Home Road and 36th Avenue, as a man and his girlfriend were crossing the street. His girlfriend fell, and the man stopped in the turning lane to wait for her.
A westbound driver saw the woman and managed to avoid hitting her but did not see the man in time and collided with him.
The man was taken to the hospital, and there he succumbed to his injuries and died.
The driver remained at the scene and is not thought to have been under the influence.
The accident remains under investigation.
