Man dead, 4 hospitalized following late-night crash at 20th and Roosevelt

PHOENIX, AZ – A man was killed late last night in a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Phoenix, according to information from FOX 10 Phoenix.

The accident occurred near E Roosevelt Street and N 20th Street at about 10 p.m., when a white Dodge Challenger made a left turn and collided with a tan Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.

Five men were taken to the hospital.

One of those men, the 20-year-old front passenger in the Challenger who has been identified as Jovany Cortez-Yanez, later died.

The other four men are expected to survive their injuries.

Authorities do not believe that impairment played a role in the crash.
