Man dead after being hit by driver at Cactus Rd and 42nd Ave

PHOENIX, AZ – A pedestrian died after being struck by a driver in northern Phoenix on Friday night, according to KTAR News.

The crash happened on Cactus Road and 42nd Avenue at about 10 p.m., as 43-year-old Tristen Ramos was crossing the street. He was then struck by a driver.

Ramos was taken to the hospital, where he later was pronounced dead.

The driver remained at the scene and is not suspected of having been speeding or under the influence when the crash happened.

Authorities stated that Ramos was crossing outside of a crosswalk when the crash happened. Their investigation continues at this time.
