Multiple people hospitalized after trailer spills cinderblocks onto I-10

TOLLESON, AZ – Multiple people were hospitalized after a truck spilled cinderblocks onto I-10 in Tolleson on Friday afternoon, according to CBS 5 News.

The crash occurred on eastbound I-10, near the Loop 101 transition, at about 4 p.m., when a pickup truck hauling a trailer full of cinderblocks blew a tire. The driver lost control of their vehicle, then collided with the median, causing the load of cinderblocks to spill over the road.

The blocks then hit multiple other vehicles.

Multiple victims were taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

Traffic was backed up for several hours because of the incident, with delays lasting until 7:30 p.m.
