PHOENIX, AZ – A pedestrian running across the roadway was fatally struck by a driver in northwest Phoenix on Saturday night, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.
The crash happened in the Maryvale area near Thomas Road and 35th Avenue at about 8:20 p.m., as 35-year-old Julian Jimenez-Valle was running across the roadway. He was then his by the driver of an SUV.
Jimenez-Valle was taken to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries and died.
The driver remained at the scene and is not thought to have been under the influence.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
