Pedestrian injured after hit-and-run in Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – KWTX reports that a woman waiting at a bus stop was seriously injured following a hit-and-run crash in Phoenix on Wednesday, March 22.

The incident occurred around 12:00 p.m., after two vehicles collided on Peoria Avenue and 32nd Lane. One of the vehicles involved in the collision veered onto the sidewalk, striking a woman, Sharla Ozias, at a nearby bus stop. One of the drivers involved in the initial collision sped away prior to police arriving on the scene. Sharla sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

So far, no arrests have been made of the drivers involved in this incident. However, police continue to investigate.
