Person hospitalized after car crashes into canal in Buckeye

BUCKEYE, AZ – One person was taken to the hospital with significant injuries after their vehicle landed in a canal in Buckeye on Monday morning, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.

The incident happened near the intersection of W Southern Avenue and Jackrabbit Trail, after a white passenger vehicle crashed into the water of a canal.

One person had to be extricated from the vehicle as it was in the water. They were then taken to the hospital to receive treatment for critical injuries.

The cause of the incident was not immediately released.
