Pilot injured after small plane crashes near home in Laveen Village

LAVEEN VILLAGE, AZ – A pilot was injured after a small plane made an emergency landing in Laveen Village this morning, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.

The crash occurred near a private residence on W Carver Road and S 35th Avenue at around 11:50 a.m., after a red single-engine, single-propeller plane lost power, then needed to make an emergency landing. The plane then landed upside-down near a home in the neighborhood.

The pilot, who was the only occupant of the aircraft, sustained minor injuries in the accident.

The incident remains under investigation at this time.
