Suspect runs red light, causes 8-car fatal crash in Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – Four people were sent to the hospital after a car crash at the intersection of Central Avenue and Camelback Road on Sunday.

According to AZFamily, the accident involved eight vehicles. Police say a female driver who ran a red light likely caused the crash. Police say she showed signs of impairment.

One man, Jesus Padilla, 35, died from his injuries later at a hospital. Two women in their 40s are in critical condition.

The crash is under investigation.
