PHOENIX, AZ – FOX10 Phoenix reports that a teenage pedestrian was struck and killed by a pickup truck in west Phoenix on Wednesday.
Authorities say the crash took place shortly after 9:30 p.m. near 61st Avenue and McDowell Road. 17-year-old Juan Diaz was standing in the street when he was fatally struck by a pickup truck travelling east on McDowell.
The driver of the pickup truck remained on the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The crash remains under investigation.
