Teenager killed, three others injured in collision

PHOENIX, AZ – One person has died and three others suffered critical injuries after a two-vehicle crash Sunday night.

According to ABC 15, the fatal accident occurred on Indian School Road at 36th Street around 10:00 PM on March 13th.

A Ford Mustang crashed into a Honda Accord as the Honda was attempting to turn left onto 36th Street. The Mustang was reportedly traveling at high speed. 

There were three people inside the Mustang at the time of the crash. Two occupants were ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries. Their current conditions are unknown.

The victim, 16-year-old Tomas Villaverde, remained inside the Mustang but sadly later succumbed to his injuries. 

The driver of the Honda was also seriously injured and remains hospitalized.

Police state that the driver of the Honda showed signs of impairment at the scene. Officials are currently investigating the crash to determine if alcohol was a factor.
