FLORENCE, AZ – Three people have died and another suffered injuries after a head-on collision on SR 79 Tuesday evening.
According to az central, the fatal crash occurred on SR 79 near mile marker 148 around 5:00 PM on March 8th.
The cause of the crash is unclear at this time. One of the vehicles rolled over on impact, and an occupant was ejected.
In total, three people died. A fourth person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Their current condition is unknown.
SR 79 remained closed in both directions at mile marker 148 for the rest of Tuesday night.
