PHOENIX, AZ – A woman who was crossing the street died after being hit by a driver on McDowell Road in Phoenix on Friday evening, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.
The collision happened near the intersection of E McDowell Rd and 26th Street at about 6:30 p.m., when a driver headed eastbound collided with a female pedestrian crossing the street.
The woman was taken to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
The driver remained at the scene to speak with the investigating authorities. They are not believed to have been under the influence.
