Woman crossing street killed by hit-and-run driver at Northern and 31st Aves

PHOENIX, AZ – A woman crossing the street was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver on Northern Avenue on Friday night, according to information from CBS 5 News.

The crash happened near the intersection of Northern Avenue and 31st Avenue at around 9:30 p.m., as pedestrian Angela Milligin was walking across the street. She was then struck by a driver who is believed to have been speeding.

The driver fled the scene westbound without stopping to render aid.

Milligin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are searching for the hit-and-run driver and their vehicle at this time. Those with information about the crash are asked to contact the Phoenix Police Department or 480-WITNESS.
