Woman crossing street killed by hit-and-run driver in SE Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver in southeast Phoenix on Wednesday night, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.

The collision happened on 16th Street and Broadway at 8:26 p.m., as 63-year-old Pamela Desoto was crossing the street. She was struck by the driver of a dark-colored vehicle headed down Broadway, who then fled the scene.

Desoto was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash and are searching for the suspect driver.
