PHOENIX, AZ – A woman crossing the street in northeast Phoenix was fatally struck by a driver at Thomas Road early New Year’s Eve, according to information from FOX 10 Phoenix.
The crash happened at the intersection of Thomas Rd and 21st Street at around 3:45 a.m., after a woman crossing the road was hit by a driver.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, died at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene and is not suspected of having been under the influence when the accident occurred.
Authorities believe that the victim was crossing the street mid-block when the crash occurred.
