PHOENIX, AZ – A woman died of her injuries after her car was struck by a pickup truck that failed to stop at a red light on Monday.
According to abc15, the woman was identified as Aurea Lilia Gomez-Gamaro, 57. The accident happened at the intersection of Thomas Rd and N 55th Ave. The driver of a pickup truck ran a red light while going west on Thomas Rd and struck Gomez-Gamaro’s Nissan Versa.
The pickup truck also hit two other vehicles, but no one else was injured.
Gomez-Gamaro was taken to an area hospital, where she later died.
Police are investigating.
